Annual Reports

Community Health Advocates (CHA) publishes an annual program evaluation to highlight the program’s activities during each fiscal year and to track health care trends seen by CHA agencies.

The 2012 Annual Report of Community Health Advocates describes the important role consumer assistance programs play in helping the uninsured become insured and helping insured consumers become effective participants in the health care system.

Some of the program’s significant accomplishments achieved in 2012 (the period from November 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012) include the following:

  • CHA individually assisted 32,872 health care consumers enroll in coverage or otherwise access the health care system;
  • CHA conducted 1,430 trainings about how to enroll and use health insurance in local community venues;
  • CHA trained more than 32,575 advocates and consumers;
  • CHA partnered with 30 community-based organizations in predominantly low-income, low-literacy and high-immigrant communities to ensure that vulnerable consumers were able to get needed health care.
